What is mulberry silk?

Mulberry silk is produced by silkworms fed exclusively on mulberry leaves — finer, stronger, and more uniform than wild silk. All Kausheyah pieces use 100% mulberry silk, not blends or synthetics.

Is this Silk Mark India certified?

Yes. Kausheyah is a brand of House of May India Pvt Ltd, a registered Authorised User of Silk Mark, the pure-silk label run by the Silk Mark Organisation of India under the Central Silk Board. The label confirms that the fabric is pure silk; each product page names the silk (mulberry) and its weight (23 momme) separately.

What momme weight is Kausheyah silk?

23 momme. Our fabric weighs about 100 grams per square metre, and one momme is about 4.34 g/m². The extra weight gives shirts and dresses more body and better coverage than lighter silks, though weave and finish matter as much as the number.

Is silk good for sensitive skin?
